Candlemass Celebration at St Wilfrid's Church Brayton.


To celebrate your baptism at St Wilfrid's you are invited to a short Candlemass Celebration at 3.00pm on Sunday 29th January followed by cakes, cookies and children's entertainer in the Parish Hall.
Please bring your family and Godparents and your baptism candle.

The next Community Lunch will be held on 5th April  from 12 noon - 1.30pm home - made soup bread and butter followed by a simple dessert tea and coffee £4.

Christingle and Gift Service Sunday 4th December St Wilfrid's Parish Church

Come and join us in this celebration of the work of the Children's Society.  We combine this service with the collection of gifts to be distributed to needy children in our area.  If you would like to bring a gift please mark on it whether it is suitable for a boy and/or girl and the appropriate age group.  The Christingles will be put together in the Parish Hall on  Saturday 3rd December at 9.30am and it would be lovely to have as much help as possible.

Churchyard Tidying St Wilfrid's 26th November 9.30am

Our last gardening session for this year will be held on Saturday 26th November depending on the weather, we shall be tidying the front borders, emptying bins, clearing drain hoppers and emptying the bird boxes. We'll stop for coffee part way through the morning. Everyone welcome! please bring your own gardening tools and gloves. we look forward to seeing you.

Meet The Archdeacon Tuesday 22nd November 7.30pm St Francis Church Thorpe Willoughby

The Archdeacon Of York will be coming to the parish to meet the PCC and ECC. The meeting is open to all. The Archdeacon will be sharing diocesan vision for the next few years, and has said that she would welcome any questions that we may have about the diocese and how it relates to the parish.
