St Wilfrid's Summer Fair 22nd June 2019

The St Wilfrid’s Summer Fair is coming to Brayton Village Green this Saturday 22nd June between 2pm and 4pm.

So why not be like Val & Martin? Get yourself down there, buy a pie & a tea in the school hall, get hold of a couple of chairs and enjoy the guaranteed sunshine! Listen to the children singing, try your hand at the various games, and bag-a-bargain on any of the craft stalls. Even have a go on the tombola, but don’t expect to win the whisky because that’s got my name on it – hopefully!

June Connected

This month Revd. Pete Watson reflects on the recent appalling events in Sri Lanka, but also finds hope in the aftermath as Christians and Muslims came together.

Tony Service reports on recent events in the Methodist circuit. As I write this note they are celebrating their anniversary - and I do hope that it is going well.

Rob and Hannah Suekarran introduce themselves, and I review the World Championship FootGolf that was hosted at Scalm Park recently. Mrs Clarke remembers the Parish Walk that took place at the Skylark Centre in Barlow, and Barbara Richardson reports on all things MU.

I report on the recent Ceramic Sale at St Wilfrid’s, and also the St Crux day that raised over £800 for St Francis. Revd. Pete Watson recalls the past year of ministry & mission, and the joys and challenges to look ahead to. And finally I get to print a picture of some big kids on a bouncy castle!
